Palmer amaranth in Canada: Competitiveness and early detection<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>

\u00a0<\/p>

The Nguyen lab<\/a><\/span><\/span> is seeking a student interested in a Master’s project on 1) the evaluation of competition between Amaranthus palmeri<\/em> and Amaranthus tuberculatus<\/em>; and 2) the advancement of methodologies for detecting the invasive Palmer amaranth and existing waterhemp pollen using environmental DNA analysis for early detection.<\/p>

Supervision:<\/strong> Prof Huong Nguyen<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Start date:<\/strong> January or May, 2026<\/p>

Location:<\/strong> St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Montreal<\/p>
