The New Initiative grants aim to encourage new avenues of research, audacious hypotheses, or new innovative technologies while respecting the research objectives of the Centre SÈVE.
Therefore, different components are offered in this program:
- Interinstitutional project: This component allows collaboration between members of the Centre SÈVE from at least three different institutions in the development of a new project.
- New Investigator: Reserve for researchers at the Centre SÈVE who have had a regular position for less than 5 years. The project must be done in collaboration with at least one other member of the Centre SÈVE.
- General Public: This component allows the implementation of a research project that involves the public. The aim is to promote plant sciences and sustainable development to the public.
- Cegep-University Collaboration: This component allows new collaborations between members of a College and university members of the SÈVE Center to carry out a common project.
The New Initiatives contest takes place once a year and the information is sent to members by email.
